As with every remotely challenging post written on tumblr by a Christian, I should have expected some responses like this.

Firstly, you’re clearly not interested in actually calmly, logically discussing the existence of God and whether or not it’s possible that people should live for anything other than themselves, so I’m not going to engage in that discussion.

So I’ll say this:

This message you’ve sent me is as ridiculous as if I went around trolling tumblr sites belonging to atheists to comment on their animated “God is not real” posts. I would say you’ve pressed your religious views on me, and my followers, much more than I’ve pressed my own views on you.

As you’ve never followed me, I assume that you stumbled upon what I’ve posted on my own blog because other people with similar views reblogged it. Or you searched tags like “sin” and “God” and were frustrated by what came up. Either way, unless I came to your own tumblr and threw my post into your tumblr ask, I don’t think it could count at all as pressing my religious views on you. I will continue to write as I do. Most of my posts, including the one you refer to, are written with the purpose of encouraging my brothers and sisters in Christ, and as long as others are being encouraged and Christ is glorified, I won’t stop writing them. If you’d like, you’re more than welcome to just continue not following me.

Nevertheless, I do commend you for having the guts to stay off anonymous, it shows honesty. May you have a blessed 2012!

Note to my followers: Please don’t message this guy with anything disrespectful; remember we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Don’t make him regret staying off anon!
